A few months ago, my friend Dina and I visited Jen and her new baby. Dina spent the afternoon cooing at the baby, while I spent the afternoon photographing the dog. Ha ha ha. Quite telling!! Anyway, the photos inspired this painting. Rendering the cute Pottery Barn rug from Jen's living room took a loooong time.I just saw Jen yesterday and casually blurted out, "I painted your dog"....turns out, she was planning on commissioning me anyway. Ah, serendipity! So this painting will be sold soon. I hope you like it, Jen!!
