I've wanted to do a series of dog silhouettes for a while. Finally, here are the first three: Great Dane, Bracco Italiano, and Doberman Pinscher. I love the old-fashioned profile silhouettes. Traditionally, they are made with cut paper. I’m pretty good with scissors, but I’m better with a paintbrush. And my silhouettes feature dogs instead of humans. I have several more breeds in the works. It's a nice change of pace to work in only two colors and to be so precise. If these don't sell, I just might have a wall o' dog silhouettes. But hopefully they will find good homes.
Painting will take another hiatus, but this one will be brief. I leave for a 10-day trip to Greece on Wednesday. Woo hoo!
