Michelle Besedic, a very sweet and talented artist, contacted me about a pet portrait trade. I took her up on it, and incorporated her dog Vinny into my 30 in 30 project. I love her painting of Rosie! The portrait will look great in my spare bedroom/ studio, which I intend to (FINALLY) finish setting up by early November. The other trade I'm doing, you might remember, is for Kevin's Christmas present. Mystery Artist is currently developing the sketch I chose; I can't wait to see the next stage of the portrait's progression!
As for Phase 2 of my 30 in 30 project, the painting-a-week portion is proving to be quite difficult. I have paintings in progress, but not yet finished. I hope to get in a zone by this coming week (Week 3) and have several pieces to show you very soon. Until then, enjoy the weekend!
WOOF! Thank you for visiting i heart dogs studio, the home of pet portraits lovingly painted by me, Christine Humphries Throckmorton. Since 2007, I have created custom pet portraits, prints, cards, and more, all featuring lovable canines (and the occasional feline). Scroll down, take a look around, click away. You'll see a wide variety of pet portraits, and get to know a bit about the girl behind the canvas.
PLEASE NOTE: Now that I have a toddler, I am no longer accepting commissions. For now, I am shelving the paintbrushes and just enjoying being MOM. I have a variety of original paintings, prints, and cards available in my shop, however, and there is a lot of dog art to peruse in the pages of this here blog. Enjoy.
